presentation lyrics
But we feel like we do when we make fun of him
'Cause you want to belong,do you go along?
'Cause his pain is the price paid for you to belong.
It's not like you hate him or want him to die,
But maybe he goes home and thinks suicide
Or he comes back to school with a gun at his side
Any kindness from you might have saved his life.
Heroes are made when you make a choice
You could be a hero - heroes do what's right
You could be a hero - you might save a life
You could be a hero - you could join the fight
For what's right, for what's right, for what's right
No one talks to her, she feels so alone.
She's in too much pain to survive on her own.
The hurt she can't handle overflows to a knife
She writes on her arm wants to give up her life.
Each day she goes on is a day that she's brave
Fighting the lie that giving up is the way
Each moment of courage her own life she saves
When she throws the pills out, a hero is made.
Heroes are made when you make a choice
You could be a hero - heroes do what's right
You could be a hero - you might save a life
You could be a hero - you could join the fight
For what's right, for what's right, for what's right
No one talks to him about how he lives
He thinks that the choices he makes are just his
Doesn't know he's a leader with the way he behaves
And others will follow the choices he's made.
He lives on the edge, he's old enough to decide.
His brother who wants to be him is just nine.
He can do what he wants because it's his right,

The choices he makes change a nine-year-old's life.
Heroes are made when you make a choice
You could be a hero - heroes do what's right
You could be a hero - you might save a life
You could be a hero - you could join the fight
For what's right, for what's right, for what's right

Little Mikey D. was the one in class
who every day got brutally harassed.
This went on for years until he decided
That ever again would he shed another tear
So he walked through the door,
Grabbed a forty four out of his father's dresser drawer,
And said I can't take life no more.
And like that, life can be lost
But this ain't even about that
All of us just sat back
And watched it happen
Thinking it's not our responsibility
To solve a problem that isn't about me
This IS our problem
This is just one of the daily scenarios
In which we chose to close our eyes,
Instead of doing the right thing.
If we make a choice
Be the voice
For those who won't speak up for themselves,
How many lives would be saved
Changed, rearranged?
Now it's our time
To pick a side.
Now don't keep walking by,
Not wanting to intervene,
'Cause you just want to exist;
And never be seen
So let's wake up
Change the world-
Our time is now!
You could be a hero - (our time is now)
heroes do what's right
You could be a hero - (our time is now)
you might save a life
You could be a hero - (our time is now)
you could join the fight
For what's right, for what's right.

Debt, short story final
“You can’t do this to me! I told you I'm working on getting the money!” I shouted to a gang member.
“We held up our end of the bargain, we killed the slum bag, now we want our 500ks... now, pick one, your daughter or your wife.”
The leader walked into the alley behind my wife and daughter, “you have five seconds to decide.”
“Just kill me!” I shouted, even though I know that they wouldn’t accept. They wanted to watch me suffer. They told me they had already killed my son.
“Alright, your daughter’s dead.” He raised a gun and, being the coward I am, I looked away. A gun shot rung through the alleyway, followed by my wife’s screams. “You have until noon tomorrow.” They walked away.
“No! Leave her body here! Please!” I heard my wife, Anne, shouting. I turned around to find both men, the tall man in the suit, and the leader were out of the alley. I ran out and saw a gun pointed at my wife as my daughter’s body was chucked in the back of a truck.
“Don’t follow us.” The last member hopped in the back of a large black truck, all windows tinted black, and they drove off.
“Why, Jon? He was a co-worker!” Anne screamed at me.
“He stole my promotion...”
“That’s not reason to have him killed!”
We went to our car and drove back to our house in silence. I called as many people as I could to get the money, but none of my friends, or the banks, would lend me the money. I wound up on the couch tonight, but no sleeping happened. It was entirely my fault.
I got up as the sun rised, determined to find the money. I decided to tell my wife to stay home and call the police if anyone suspicious came.
“You know they told us not to Jon!” she shouted, clutching our staircase railing.
“There’s no one left to kill but us, they can’t threaten us with that threat anymore.” I clutched my car keys and began walking off.
“I’m calling them now Jon.”
“Fine.” And I left.
After several long hour of searching for a bank I hadn’t tried yet, I gave up. I was too scared to go any farther from my house; I didn’t want to be too far away from my wife, just in case something happened to her. So I turned around. On my way back, a police car began following me. I tried to remember if I ran a stop sign, but I couldn’t remember any on this road. Soon the lights turned on and I was forced to pull over.
The cop walked up, so I said, “Hello, what did I...”
“Do you have the 500 grand?” he asked, holding a radio in his right hand.
“You have got to be kidding me.”
“Do you?” he asked again, more serious.
“No, I couldn't find the money. But if you just give me a little more time.”
“You were given a month.” He held the radio to his mouth, “Kill her.” A gunshot sound came from the radio, “You have 1 more hours, or your life will be ruined.”
“My life is already ruined!” I drove off to my house, watching the clock. The drive home took a little more than an hour to complete, but I need to get the rest of my personal money before I made a run for my life. I slammed on the gas and drove off home. I checked the clock every few minutes just to make sure I was making good progress. The sun rapidly set during this hour. The hour was up when I was only a few minutes from my house. My phone started ringing and shaking, I picked it up.
“Time’s up Jon, I suggest you find a hotel room for the night. Tomorrow will be long for you,” and the phone hung up. I rounded the last corner to my house, which was now up in flames. I went to call 911 but as I drove by, I decided to not let the gang play with me anymore.
I kept driving aimlessly throughout the night. My life was ruined, what did I do now? I began approaching a large, tall bridge, over a larger body of water. and it hit me, the only way to make it stop was the last step in their game: death. I stopped and waited until I didn’t hear any cars coming. This was key in making sure no one called a rescue team. I went to the tallest pillar on the bridge and checked for car sounds again. All I knew is that I wanted to see my family again. I took one last breath and jumped.

“Which one do you love more?” He said to me. Having to choose which loved one lives is an un-answerable question. And he knew it, “c'mon, you didn’t pay your debt, now you must suffer.”
“You can’t do this to me! I told you I'm working on getting the money!” I shouted to a gang member.

what i needed to say final
Yeah, bye…
Is all that was said on this
Lonesome day.
You walk away.
I regret that lonesome day,
Not admitting truths.
Regardless of what friends say.
Life isn’t better as friends.
They were right…
now my life has changed
changed into something I love.
Had I told you the truth
not just shrugged you off
you probably wouldn’t be
my friend today.
one small change
would have changed
my life, for the worse
on this
lonesome day.

I regret that lonesome day,
For my life has changed
Into something I love.

Small change

my life, for the better,
on this
lonesome day.

my play V.3
After a plague swept through the world, Jonny, and his next-door neighbor Rulu, have both been unaffected by it. But their families were. They hated each other for the longest time but have grown to working together. Jonny and Rulu have been wandering for one year looking for any other survivors. There walking down the streets in a city not known to them.
[Scene opens with Jonny and Rulu digging through old food in a store]
Rulu
Rats ate everything edible in the stupid store! Why are we even trying anymore?
Jonny
[Staring at Rulu]
Its fine, we’ll find something soon.
[Jonny stands up and grabs his backpack]
let’s go, maybe another survivor found something.
Rulu
[Stands up angrily, grabbing her bag]
There are no other survivors! It’s been a year and we haven’t seen anyone!
Jonny
C’mon, it’s not all bad, we can keep each other company, we have been.
[Turns to go to the door (off stage)]
Rulu
Why would I like to spend time with you? I’ve been with you for a year now!
Jonny
Well excuse me. . .
Rulu
There is no excuse for you.
Jonny
That’s a little uncalled for. I think we should try to get along.
Rulu
Do you think I care what you think?
[her face changes into a smile]
HAHA
[She sticks her tongue out]
Let’s get outa here
Jonny
Alright
[Lights fade as they walk out the store (off stage)]
[Lights turn back (dim) on as the enter a street]
Rulu
[Sitting down]
let’s stop for the night. I’m way to hungry to keep going.
Jonny
[Still walking forward]
Rulu, you have food in your bag. Eat something while we walk.
[Rulu rummages through her bag and pulls out a bar a chocolate]
Rulu
[Stands up, runs and grabs Jonnys arm]
Only chocolate and I’m sick of chocolate. I want something real! Like cheese, or bread, pasta would do just fine too. Not chocolate!
[She breaks off a small chunk of chocolate]
Here, you need to eat something too
Jonny
[Pushing the chocolate away]
I’m not hungry.
Rulu
You haven’t ate anything for the past 3 days
[She pushes the chocolate to Jonnys lips, he backs away and the chocolate falls]
Jonny
You obviously need it more
Rulu
Well, we both need it. And you know it. Why must you refuse my request?
Jonny
I told you why, I don’t need that now. Now if you don’t mind, we need to get moving, obviously there’s nothing more here, let’s get going.
[He begins walking away.]
Rulu
Jon stop. I really need to stop. I’m not eating the chocolate and I’m not gonna keep walking until im full; we can stop tonight and look one last time. I promise to cooperate tomorrow
[she slowly sits down, smiling at Jonny]
Let’s go to sleep
Fine, we’ll stop here, but can’t we go into one of the houses tonight? There are actually beds here and maybe being comfortable tonight wouldn’t hurt.
Rulu
You don’t understand, I can’t go any further. I really need to just stop here.
[Jonny sits down next to Rulu and she sets her head on his shoulder]
Thanks for putting with me. I know it can be hard.
[Lights begin to fade]
Jonny
Don’t think much of it; I would have killed myself If I was alone this whole time.
[Lights go completely out]
[after several seconds a sun image moves up the background and lights slowly turn on]
Jonny
Rulu! I found a can of pasta! You hungry?!
[rulu doesn’t move as he runs on stage]
Rulu, c’mon, normal food!
[she straightens up and turns towards Jonny, an angry expression on her face]
Rulu
You could have told me you were leaving!
Jonny
I try to do one nice thing for you and you are angry I let you sleep? What’s wrong with you women!
Rulu
[standing up]
I didn’t know if you were coming back…
Jonny
You haven’t had an issue with me leaving before, what’s the big deal now?
Rulu
I didn’t expect you to come back. You plan on finding more people when I would just assume be dead instead of keep looking.
Jonny
I just don’t want to give up hope. You watch movies right? There’s always more survivors than what the film shows. Think of us like the main characters.
Rulu
The main characters usually end up dying.
[she picks up her bag]
We better get moving. Don’t want the rats to eat us.
Jonny
I thought you were to hungry to even move last night, 5 hours later and you she be desperate for food.
Rulu
Nah, I just didn’t want to leave this city at night, you know animals weren’t infected so there’s probably wolves out past the city.
Jonny
Well if you don’t mind, I want to test out that theory. We’ll leave tonight then. You go first.
Rulu
Or not… let’s assume that we die if we leave this town. It would be your fault.
Jonny
Remember, we came to this city almost a month ago. We didn’t have an issue then, why would we now? You don’t make any sense Ru. And why would we be attacked by wolves if we left at night? But ok, we will leave now.
[he puts the can into his back]
Rulu
Wait! It was my decision to leave now. You can’t give me an order to leave! Maybe its best to separate now, you go look for your mythological survivors and I’ll look for a suitable place to die.
[she begins to walk offstage]
Jonny
Know what? Fine! Get out of here; I don’t need your help! Your just dead weight!
[as rulu leaves stage, Jonny runs after her, lights dim]
Jonny
I think I should have listened to you
Rulu
You think?
[lights flash on, showing Jonny and Rulu in a tree, surrounded by wolves]
[1 wolf tears Jonnys bag apart, the can rolls away and the single wolf chases it]
Jonny
Maybe if I run to left, the wolves will chase me and you can get away.
[he grabs onto a thick branch and begins moving down]
Rulu
Don’t be so stupid.
[she reaches her arm down to help him up but leans forward too much and falls to the ground]
Jonny help!
[Wolves encircle her and one pounces at her arm, a motor is heard followed by a gunshot. The wolves run away. A man runs onstage]
Anton
Yo kid! Is she okay?
[Jonny jumps down to check Rulu. She does not move, and Anton moves closer]
Jonny
Why didn’t you find us yesterday!? We didn’t move from the city, where are you hiding? Never mind, help me get Rulu to your truck.
Anton
Her arm is bad; my district probably won’t be able to fix it. I think it would be best to just put her out of her misery.
[he points his rifle toward Rulu, still motionless]
Jonny
Don’t you dare! We have to try; she would try to help me if I had fallen.
[anton shakes his head, but grabs Rulus legs and helps Jonny carry Rulu away]
Anton
You know what kid? I think my family will love you guys.
[lights turn off, no fade]

A time my world changed V.1
He asks
holding out some cards,
its really fun, try and see.
A week passes,
a month,
a year,
hes still addicted to the game.
A new group of friends are found, with this
kids new hobby.
Life passes by,
always thinking about
The Game.
He showed this kid the game,
now the kid beats the tutor.
1)like everything else i write, this sounds very choppy, what do you think?
2)anything else that could help? I'm horrible at poetry. :P
